I always liked Bret Michaels, his music was great not to mention he was a hunk especially with his shirt off! Anyways I wanted to blog about him cause he has had a very interesting life indeed! Bret Michaels was born Bret Michael Sychak on March 15, 1963 in Pittsburgh, PA. He is a musician, beginning his career as a guitarist when a teenager. He formed a band in Pennsylvania by the name of Paris in 1983. In 1984, after playing the bar circuit, Michaels and the band moved on to Los Angeles and later changed the band’s name to Poison. Poison became famous after their video “Talk Dirty to Me”.
Michaels is multi-talented and has been a producer, actor, and part of the reality show scene. Despite his illness in 2010, suffering from a brain hemorrhage, his determination has put him back into what he loves best – entertaining.
Recently Michaels’ daughters, Raine and Jorja have joined him on the music scene on the new album “Kidz Bop Sings Monster Ballads”. They do a version of Poison’s “Every Rose Has a Thorn”. Some of the proceeds from this album will benefit Bret’s Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. He suffered Juvenile Diabetes as a child.
Currently Bret Michaels has set a date for the Bret Michaels Super Cruise, sailing from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico on November 10, 2011. His website for the cruise states: “sailing on the Carnival Destiny from Miami to Cozumel. You’ll have lots of opportunities to hang out with Bret and meet new people while enjoying the beautiful Caribbean weather. You will be constantly entertained by the many live acts that will be joining Bret onboard.”

I am happy for him, he seems like a decent guy and I wish him the best, with the positive attitude he seems to have and his love for his kids, this guy rocks!
