Favorite Cartoons of the Past – Part 3 *The Jackson 5ive*

The Jackson 5ive was an animated cartoon that premiered on the Saturday Morning Cartoon line-up on September 11, 1971 It was directed by Arthur Rankin, Jr. and Jules Bass. It lasted until 1973 with 23 episodes, but had a comeback in 1984-85 in syndication, due to Michael Jackson’s immense popularity as a solo artist.

Hello Kitty’s real name is Kitty White and she was born in the suburbs of London, England on November 1. Kitty lives in a red roof little white house at a suburban town 20km from London. The name of the town is unknown, but the population is roughly around 20,000. It takes about 25 minutes to get there by car, and about 30 minutes by bus.

Favorite Cartoons of the Past – Part 2 *Electra Woman and Dyna Girl*

Electra Woman and Dyna Girl is a Sid and Marty Krofft live action children’s television series that debuted on ABC during the 1976-77 season (as part of Krofft Supershow’s first season). Here’s a little synopsis, Electra Woman and Dynagirl were two ladies, Lori and Judy, that were writers for Newsmaker magazine, but when trouble calls they become Electra Woman and Dyna Girl! I can just see them now in their skintight spandex, orange and yellow capes and supergal go-go boots. In a bright flash of light called an “Electra-Change” they would slide down a hidden shaft in their bachelorette pad, hop in the Electracar, and use an array of technically advanced gadgets to thwart an eclectic collection of supervillains. They are assisted by Frank Heflin, a scientist who stays at their “ElectraBase” while keeping in continual contact with the pair through their wrist devices “ElectraComs”.

Favorite Cartoons of the Past – Part 1

I was in the mood to blog about some of my favorite cartoons from the past…To get my weekend started, every Friday afternoon I would make my hideout with a large coffee table, a big blanket or sheet thrown over the table with lots of comfy pillows (my pet poodle, Francie, would always jump on top of it and I would have to redo it again, lol!) Anyways, Saturday morning was finally here after waiting all week long for the day to sit in my jammies, with my sugar coated cereal of choice and watching my favorite cartoons!
