Prometheus is a 2012 science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott and written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof (you may remember his for his work on the TV series LOST). The film began development in the early 2000s as a fifth entry in the Alien franchise, with both Scott and director James Cameron developing ideas for a film that would serve as a prequel to Scott’s 1979 science fiction horror film Alien. According to Scott, though the film shares “strands of Alien’s DNA, so to speak”, and takes place in the same universe, Prometheus will explore its own mythology and ideas.

DARK SHADOWS – 1960’s-1970’s TV Series – 1990’s TV Series – Tim Burton Movie Version


Dark Shadows, well this show was one of my favorites growing up in the 1960’s-70’s. Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) was my first vampire love, lol! I loved being scared as a kid, (wow that sounds kinda messed up, doesn’t it?) but anyways, I remember running into the kitchen and grabbing the refrigerator door and hiding behind it when Barnabus was about to bite someone! I loved the song intro at the beginning it was so haunting yet so beautiful, seeing the ocean tide washing up on shore with the big mysterious Collinwood house in the background, sends shivers up my spine while I am writing this…

Well I thought I would do a little blog on this huge box office hit The Hunger Games which is the first in a trilogy based on the best-selling novels by Suzanne Collins set in a post-apocalyptic future where teenage girls and boys battle to the the death in a televised contest. “The Hunger Games” cleaned up during its first night in theaters, taking in $19.75 million from late-night shows after 12 a.m. on Friday the 23rd of March.
