One Step Beyond TV Show – *Goodbye Grandpa*

Okay I was thinking about this show I saw quite a while back and decided to do some research on it…

The show was an episode from the late 1950’s – early 1960’s TV show One Step Beyond…

A quick synopsis on One Step Beyond – The show was out about the same time as the popular The Twilight Zone. It lasted three seasons on ABC from 1959 to 1961, ninety-six episodes were filmed. This program sought out ‘real’ stories of the supernatural, including ghosts, disappearances, monsters, etc., and re-creating them for each episode. No solutions to these mysteries were ever found, and viewers could only scratch their heads and wonder, “what if it’s real?” Each episode of One Step Beyond had a different cast. Many had well-known guest stars in the lead roles. The program was hosted by John Newland.

Favorite Cartoons of the Past – Part 2 *Electra Woman and Dyna Girl*

Electra Woman and Dyna Girl is a Sid and Marty Krofft live action children’s television series that debuted on ABC during the 1976-77 season (as part of Krofft Supershow’s first season). Here’s a little synopsis, Electra Woman and Dynagirl were two ladies, Lori and Judy, that were writers for Newsmaker magazine, but when trouble calls they become Electra Woman and Dyna Girl! I can just see them now in their skintight spandex, orange and yellow capes and supergal go-go boots. In a bright flash of light called an “Electra-Change” they would slide down a hidden shaft in their bachelorette pad, hop in the Electracar, and use an array of technically advanced gadgets to thwart an eclectic collection of supervillains. They are assisted by Frank Heflin, a scientist who stays at their “ElectraBase” while keeping in continual contact with the pair through their wrist devices “ElectraComs”.
